The following diagnostic is generating:

North Carolina Department of Revenue requests payment contact name (first and last name), email address, and telephone number, including an area code, in the appropriate fields. This information will be used in the event the North Carolina Department of Revenue needs to contact the taxpayer regarding their payment. The North Carolina Department of Revenue will use the email address to acknowledge receipt of the taxpayer's payment. If the taxpayer does not provide an email address, they will not receive confirmation that their payment has been received.

Solution:

The following information must be present; Go to Screen 1, Client Information. In the section Address, make sure to enter; Street Address City State Zip code In the Taxpayer Contact Information section, make sure to enter; Home and/or Work Telephone Number (including area code) E-Mail Address If you are still generating this diagnostic after entering the information listed above, a setting may be selected preventing the phone number from showing. Review Solution 1 and Solution 2. Solution #1: Settings Menu; Go to the Settings drop down menu. Select Options. Under the Tax Return tab. Scroll down to the Federal Tax Options section and locate Daytime Telephone Number. Make sure this is not set to Suppress. If you would like to keep this as Suppress, utilize solution 2 If this is not set to Suppress, utilize solution 2 Solution #2: Client Details; Go to Screen 3, Miscellaneous Info. /Direct Deposit. Locate the field Daytime phone: 1=print, 2=print (suppress when options), 3=suppress [O] (code 26). Enter '1' to print.
