An entry in "Beginning fiscal year date (m/d/y)(O) " indicates that this is a tax year beginning in 2021. The tax program does not make adjustments for laws that differentiate between tax years beginning in 2021 from those beginning in 2020. You must make all adjustments manually, including the calculation of tax, that apply to tax years beginning in 2021. (ref. #26546)
Solution: This diagnostic is indicating the program will not apply TY21 tax law since it is being entered in the TY20 Lacerte program. We recommend using the tax year program in which the tax year begins, i.e. a return with a tax year beginning 2021 should use the 2021 Lacerte program.
