Season: 2023 Sentence: State of Ohio Silliness: School District Income Tax (Form SD 100) this season has inexplicably shifted itself from electronic filing in prior years to paper filing this season. Not all just some.  Is this a ghost in my machine? Is it an unreported user input error? Could it be related to the consolidation of all Ohio vouchers into the UNIVERSAL PAYMENT COUPON? Has any other unfortunate soul preparing Ohio paperwork encountered this issue?

I've been going around in circles more than I'd like. Is this still the case in Lacerte? It's either one or the other, but not both or any combination of the above? You can e-file a Federal extension with payment, but electronic estimates are not possible until the return is finalized and e-filed. And, of course, Ohio doesn’t allow e-filing extensions at all, because that would make too much sense. Am I overlooking a workaround to accommodate extensions with amounts due and estimates for both federal and state using electronic payment and e-file? How do I set up federal estimated tax payments for 2019 if I am filing extension for 2018? - Intuit Accountants Community

I have forgotten or perhaps I dreamed it, but I seem to recall a method, either discussed within community or through phone support, for prompting Lacerte to regenerate a client status and/or eFile acceptance letter. According to My Account, it indicates that the client has been accepted for both federal and state. However, the state initially rejected the client's submission, requiring an edit and resubmission. The letter received after state acceptance only acknowledges federal acceptance. I would greatly appreciate your assistance or guidance on this matter. Thank you for your support and expertise.
Oh sure... "news" like that's even still a thing?!  (Fake news) What next? ...facts?!

Reimbursement as a consequence for their actions? Ha! That's no longer a thing here in America these days, sadly. You, I, and the gal them down the street will bear the burden of all associated costs as usual. Taxpayers foot all the bills. And Active Duty & Veterans find themselves settling all other outstanding debts in one way or another.

Heads up to whomever is working Identity / Authentication Changed my Intuit password today. Final screen I see is the following "Not found." The password change did occur successfully, but it looks wonky. "Sorry to bother you. Is this a good time? It says Not Found. I thought I did it right but then I wanted to contact you to make sure. You know me and these tech things. Ugh!"

@IntuitCharlene  does this now fall under your jurisdiction? Please see previous posts. Thanks. Also. Might this be a good time to "invent?" a "catch all" @ for getting a response? As people move on, or get annoyed by my pestering. If Almighty Intuit would grace this mere Community with a constant @ to get a Response that might cut down on the noise. Not a specific employee/admin for example @ ADMIN or @ MOD or @ ASSISTANCE or @ QUERY etc. to get on yinz radar.

@IntuitBettyJo  @IntuitGabi   Greetings. Any of you able to shine any light on the phenomena of spontaneous updating I would greatly appreciate you sharing illumination. Are my Users forcing Updates? I have them restricted by Trustee Rights. Is there some Loophole allowing updates to override Scheduler's schedule?

@IntuitGabi related or not, I can neither confirm nor deny -- this User also had pre-existing Windows critical events (Start menu, Your phone, Microsoft Store - a real hodgepodge of horrors,) in addition to this specific Lacerte menace. An afternoon with Windows 10's Reset this PC, and reinstallation of several years of Intuit Lacerte tax applications, I am hopeful this PC is now "clean." (Knock on wood, no jinx!) Next up are the various flavors of Intuit QuickBooks to reinstall - yippee!
