I have a client with a single member LLC in Massachusetts (initial return). I can't e-file the MA return without the Federal return, but can't file a Federal return because there is only a single member. Thinking of paper filing, but the return says "for informational purposes only, this form must be electronically filed." I'm wondering if a return is required? All will be reported on his individual return anyway. But I can't find any information to confirm that. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!
I only prepare a few returns and now have my first S-Corp. Why is the option to go to S-Corps greyed out in Lacerte? Is there a version of Lacerte that only allows for individual return prep?
