In this situation, will the children be able to claim the standard mileage deduction on their tax return? The parents drive the children to different photo shoots. Even out of state in some cases.

Tax payer submitted a tax return with an expired ITIN and was rejected for deductions/credits. The ITIN was renewed with IRS. What steps are needed to update the previously filed tax return in order to receive the deductions/credits.

What is neither the spouse or taxpayer itemizes? Would they both use the standard deduction on their separate returns? Taxpayer standard deduction of $12k. Spouse standard deduction of $12k.
Neither have itemized deductions. So will the taxpayer and spouse use the $12,000 standard deduction for married filing separate?
