@pameez Thank you so much for confirming. This is not typical behavior and we'd definitely like to look at things more on the backend, if you wouldn't mind giving us a call to support. Based on the fact that it's just the one client, we suspect this will need a more in depth approach. Thanks!
Hi there @harold-provenboo In the 1040 input screen, you can enter the taxpayer's PIN under General > Electronic Filing > e-file Signature Main Form, in the "Paperless Filing Signature Section".

To add to what @Just £isa Now! said, unfortunately ProSeries no longer has those codes from prior years. So there is no 'access' to year 2000 for those who did not already have it installed because there is no code available to unlock it. If it was previously installed and somethine along the lines of a Windows update removes your code, ProSeries is unable to get you back into the program because it requires the code, just as it would with someone who did not have it previously installed. I do hope this helps clarify.

You can open the previous preparer's files in your program. You would simply need to add them to the directory and perform database maintenance, or use Client File Maintenance > Restore to have the program add the files to the directory automatically. Do be sure that none of the returns are password protected.

You cannot transfer informtation from an 1120 to an 1120s within the same tax year. This conversion can only happen automatically in the process of transferring the return from a prior year into the current year. In other words, a 2017 1120 may be transferred into a 2018 1120s file, but you cannot take a 2018 1120 and convert it into a 2018 1120s. https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1617050-transfer-1120-corp-return-to-1120s-s-corp-...
