Of the 70+ companies we handle we are having issues with just 1. When we run the 941 for the second quarter the Wages on line 2 are correct, 5b Taxable social Security tips are correct, as is 5c Taxable Medicare wages & tips, but 5a Taxable SS wages is incorrect. It's about $1600 higher than shown on any other payroll report we can run. We've checked that all the correct boxes are checked in the employees' records and that the numbers are all posting to the correct accounts. We've gone as far as going through every single check one by one and everything seems correct and we are out of ideas. Any thoughts? If it were a program glitch it seems like it would affect more than 1 company.
