Right Networks package changes and installation for Lacerte and ProSeries

This article will help you:

  • Assign or remove packages from users to allow or disallow their access to cloud-hosted Lacerte or ProSeries
  • Install Lacerte or ProSeries on another user's cloud desktop

Assigning packages

  1. Log into Right Networks My Account with your user ID and password.
    • You must sign in as either the account owner or an account admin to access this feature.
  2. Once you're logged in, click on the Packages & Add-Ons tab.
  3. Select on the name of the package to which you want to add users. A package details page will open.
    • If you need to increase the number of packages you have, call Lacerte at 800-933-9999 or ProSeries at 800-434-6818.
  4. Click the Assign package to user(s) button.
  5. Select the users you wish to add to the package. Use the search box to find specific users.
  6. Click Assign once you're done. The page will refresh when the change is completed.

How to install Lacerte or ProSeries on the cloud desktop

  1. Log into Right Networks My Account with your user ID and password.
    • You must sign in as either the account owner or an account admin to access this feature.
  2. Once you're logged in, select the Users tab.
  3. Select the user who needs Lacerte or ProSeries installed.
  4. Click on the Apps you can install tab.
  5. Click on the application you wish to install.
  6. In the pop-up window, click Install App.
  7. A notification will appear when the app is installed.
    • If the user was signed in while you installed the application, they'll need to restart their session by clicking Start, then Log Off, and logging back in to see the app.

Removing packages

  1. Log into Right Networks My Account with your user ID and password.
    • You must sign in as either the account owner or an account admin to access this feature.
  2. Once you're logged in, click on the Packages & Add-Ons tab.
  3. Click on the package from which you wish to remove users. A package details page will open.
  4. Select the users you wish to remove. Use the search box to find specific users.
  5. Click Remove package from user(s) once you're finished. The page will refresh when the change is completed.
    • The packages will remain on your bill, even if they aren't being used, until you call Lacerte at 800-933-9999 or ProSeries at 800-434-6818 to decrease the number of packages you have.
