The program is experiencing some  "latency" issues and they are working on it. 

I would consider exiting the program and then re entering to see if the experience improves. There is a phone number to call https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/taxation/help/how-to-contact-lacerte-for-help/00/4691 but hold times are horrendous.
