Same, getting it on all partnership and S Corp returns. I assume it has something to do with the new MO-PTE which is still not finalized by Lacerte. There are no credits taken and nothing entered in error on that screen. What is going on? It's bad enough the MO-PTE isn't available yet when these returns are due in less than 2 weeks. I am going to call Lacerte Monday to see what is going on. Wish me luck. Their customer service gets worse every year.
This is projected to be addressed in today's update. If you're able to bypass this error with the most recent update, please confirm with a reply. Thank you.
This was supposed to be fixed in the last update. Now you are telling us it will be fixed 3-16 (AFTER THE DEADLINE). I won't hold my breath. You are holding an entire state hostage as there aren't enough people complaining about it. This is worse that not having the MO-PTE finalized until "probably" 4-1-23. Also, after the deadline. Maybe extending isn't a big deal to Lacerte, but it create problems with my entire workflow as every one of those S Corps and partnerships flows over onto at least one individual return and usually more. So I am suppose to finish all those partnerships and S Corps and corresponding individual returns in less than two weeks?!?!?!? And how much are we paying for this software?!?!?!?!?
Update did not fix this error. I agree with the previous posts - today is the deadline and this is forcing extensions. We should have a solution by now - it has been a week since the Lacerte rep said they would look into this. No excuse!
I only have one MO 1120S and tried e-filing to see what would happen. It went through with no issues. I just sent it as normal without using the option to override error checking. Submitted and accepted this morning. Give it a shot. I still have the diagnostic so it apparently doesn't matter. I had no credits of any form - just the critical error message.
I called Lacerte yesterday (3-15). They said it would hopefully be fixed "by the end of this week" I tried to pin them down on what day that would be. Thursday? Friday? Saturday? Sunday? What exactly does end of the week mean? She would not answer me.
Looks like the S Corp diagnostic is fixed but not the partnership diagnostic for the same issue. They just coded an automatic override for the critical diagnostic. What a joke! The MO-PTE is also not available with this update.
