Agreed! PTO is cloud-based. We should have access to an API library to connect it to our other online services. Intuit is the #1 provider of small business accounting/payroll/tax services. Microsoft is the #1 provider of small business productivity services. Where's the integration? Heck, PTO doesn't even integrate with QBO (other than 1120/1120S/1065 import, and now invoicing). What about Sch C/E import? Why doesn't PTO/QBO "Client Information" connect? If Intuit won't provide this most basic connection, give us an API library so we can hire a consultant to add this feature.

This idea is related to my earlier idea of auto checkout. If there is an API, we could automate a lot of things, for example, after the tax return is ready, review, sign, pay, and submit can all be self serve. I have upvoted the idea, please consider upvote mine. Thanks.

It would be great if ProConnect would open up to allow integration with other apps, like SurePrep or GruntWorx for Individual returns and Tallyfor or Once for Business returns. It is my understanding that these apps already work with Lacerte and ProSeries.
Because of the limited capabilities of the PTO Organizer, it would be nice if we could get some of that information out of the software to put it in our own format without having to hand key a bunch of data into our own organizers. I believe this can be done with an API to "dump" data into Excel and we could do a mail merge with our own organizer. You could mask all personally identifiable information to keep security tight, but bring over the fields we all want.
