If you have a client who is self-employed, and they buy insurance on an exchange, they will receive a Form 1095-A .  If that client makes too much money, they need to repay the advance premium credit that they received.  When self-employed, trying to include that repayment as self-employed health insurance deduction is problematic.  Lacerte does a worksheet and wants to treat it as a deduction on Schedule A when it should be an above the line deduction per the IRS. Is there a way to make that amount flow to the self-employed health insurance deduction instead of Schedule A, I had to Mickey Mouse around the numbers to get what I thought was correct!
