@dkh, keep in mind that according to part 4 of Schedule F income from raising dogs is properly reported on Schedule C. Also, I am not aware of any specific class life for dogs, leaving it as a general 7/12 asset.
@dkhCorrect. I was just pointing out that 1. The asset you mentioned with a number of Schedule F assets does not belong on F, a problem I often see on returns other accountants have prepared, and 2. The correct class life for dogs is already in the drop down. No offense meant.
