A non-working spouse may use the earned income of the working spouse to compute their Spousal Roth IRA contribution limit if MFJ and if their income is within the limits. If they are filing MFS and they do not live together, the same rule applies. See: https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/amount-of-roth-ira-contributions-that-you-can-make-for-2021. The ROTH Limitations Worksheet does not have an input area for the other spouse's earned income when MFS is selected even though the box on the Information Worksheet is checked, indicating that they did not live together at any time during the year. Please add a SPECIAL WORKSHEET FOR MFS so that the spouse's earned income -- for purposes of computing the spousal ROTH IRA contribution --- can be computed and suppress the Form 5329-T. excise tax on excess contributions .... Thanks.  Currently, I have to override items to suppress the 5320-T which causes errors on final review.

It is way too early to expect the 2021 software to be functional.
