I'm not sure why Proseries doesn't support Form 5227.  It's our first year using Proseries and this is a big oversight.  Please add Form 5227 to Proseries.

@IRonMaN has asked for this for years and years.

It's too hot right now for hell to freeze over, so I think it is still going to be awhile before that form is added.

This is insane that the form is not available.

Based on customer demand alone, as expressed throughout this blog over the years, just think how much more money Intuit could charge for this tax package if it just contained a functioning Form 5227 even if not efileable...

The shareholders would be ecstatic!!!

@Taxes-by-Rocky  - You have now officially been here long enough to have figured out that making tax preparers happy isn't as important as making shareholders happy.  You have officially learned how to speak the Intuit language👍

I have been hoping for more years than I can count, that Proseries would include 5227. I have used Superforms to enter and print the 5227 and attachments (yes, this is a manual entry). I have read that this form is soon going to be release for efiling. True? If so, I am hoping that Proseries will add it in.

I thought this form was going to be available in 2023?  Uuugh.  100 votes to add it!

"I thought this form was going to be available in 2023?"

I believe the requests started in something like 1923 so it's been awhile and I doubt if I will ever live long enough to see the form.

It will never happen....they force you to use Lacerte

No way, it's horrible, as is the (lack of intelligent) support.  I'd rather pay the fine to the IRS than waste my money on that software.
