CX is trying to fill out a 990/990T, but in the info worksheet part 6 it is asking for Officer name, title and ssn, however, per the instructions for the form, it seems only name and title are requred by IRS, and CX states he has reached out to IRS and they are unable to find a requirement for SSN here, and since it is a public form, preparer is reluctant to submit it with the return. Has tried submitting without it, with error checking disabled, but the return is rejected by intuit servers

CX typed n/a and got it to submit, also was thinking about using 0's, and also i found if we click extenstion it will make the error drop off.

I have the same issue.  The SSN requirement of the Officer signing the return is new on the ProSeries 2020 Form 990 Information Worksheet Part VI.    Obviously my client (the officer of the nonprofit 501(c)(3) is not wiling to give me his SSN because the 990 is public information and is readily accessible to the public with 2 clicks on the EO search tool at irs.gov.    The IRS instructions say nothing about this new requirement.   If I leave it blank, the box is highlighted "pink" as an error.     Is there a "workaround" that Proseries has so I can efile the 990 without entering the officer's SSN?

I have the same issue.  I entered "declined" in the box asking for the signing officer's SSN and do not get an error.  ProSeries needs to fix this!!!!

The IRS e-file system now requires SOMETHING to be entered for that.  So it really isn't Intuit's fault.  If you don't want to enter the actual Social Security Number, then type something else.
