have a client who has $279 eic with $11600 gross. why would irs reject this scenario? have e-filed several times already & keep getting rejected?
or is it the proseries software?

if EIC amount in the return has a non-zero value and schedule EIC is not present, the the primary must be at least 25 but less than 65 years old.

This rejection comes form the IRS. I would double check that the Social Security Number and birth date are entered correctly in the file. If they are, you would need to contact the IRS to see why it is being rejected, or paper file the return.
