How do I suppress an 1120 balance sheet? The directions posted are for 1065.

There is an option to only print the balance sheet "when applicable", but if the return meets certain criteria, it is required, (Balance sheet Miscellaneous screen)
Not required when total receipts and total ending assets are less then $250,000
