Thank you. Any idea why the Long Term Capital Loss Carryover box for "State if different" is not available for me? Is this a software glitch?

CA only has captial loss carryover. There is no long, only short. Short term/ Long term - CA don't give a fig! They are all the same.
Just put the number for the total in the short and go on your way

Do you have to enter CA capital loss specifically? Doesn't this come from federal? i.e. the federal capital loss becomes CA capital loss, no?
