What happens when you try?

Here's wishing you many Happy Returns

Not sure what you mean "what happens when you try?"  My question may not have been clear.   I am wondering if a rejected return that was rejected because it did not recognize a recently approved EFIN would then get approved automatically once the FTB refreshes or updates their EFIN Master File?  Or do I need to resubmit the state return?  If so how long should I wait to refile the state return?

Once rejected, it is rejected. You would have to resubmit to get it accepted. If there is still a problem, call the FTB Practitioner hotline. https://www.ftb.ca.gov/tax-pros/index.html
