When adding a PDF attachment the program defaults to Other for the type which often will leave the error message.
To resolve this:
- Open the South Carolina return.
- From the E-File menu choose Attach PDF Files.
- You should see your attachment.
- If the "Type" shows as Other click on the drop down menu and choose what the attachment is for.
- For example OS Tax Return if it's the Other State Tax Return.
