What you're asking for is CRM and practice management kind of stuff, which Intuit Link is not designed to handle.  It is only a very basic client portal, nothing more, nothing less.  There is also no custom status in Intuit Link.  The status you see is standardized and computed based on progress made in each item.

If these are the features you need, you probably will need to look somewhere else for a third-party application/portal.
