I have a client with only officer salaries in an S Corp. I need to reduce wages by the Employee Retention Credit. I initially entered the true gross of 40k in the office salary box, then entered the 5k in the other credits line in the wages smart worksheet. However, since I have no other wages, I am getting a diagnostic error. Should I just reduce the officer's salary to 35k and move on?
