I have a client with a 1099-NEC where the Payer X'd out their TIN# with except of the last 4 digits.  I have called them, emailed them and requested this information and they will not 'release' their EIN number to me.  What can I do in ProConnect to record this 1099-NEC without a valid EIN# for the Payer?

You don't have to enter 1099 NECs into the software.  Just add up all of the 1099s and enter a total in schedule C.

Just record the income where it's supposed to be (Sch C?) and fugget about the 1099-NEC.
