Holy crap! Im so glad someone posted this. I would've blown a return. I read https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1098et.pdf and it sure does state not to reduce by box 5 scholarships/grants. So, if PS reduces 1 by 5.....I will leave off the dollar value until there is a fix. Especially if 5 is immaterial.
