Why can't the NC program (individual, S Corp and C Corp) be set up to default this question to be answered YES. I would think that most preparers and taxpayers would give the NCDOR representative the ability to discuss the return with the preparer. It is an easily missed question on the return.

I am in NC and my experience has always been if you are listed as the preparer they will speak with you about the return without having to check any additional boxes off. I have not tried to make any changes to anyone's return but they will speak with you.

I have experienced the same. However the I look for NC to stop to change at anytime and start looking at the return to make sure the box is checked.
