My Component worksheet Line 2 is supposed to be taxable income, which is what it was until yesterday.  Today, I was looking at some returns already done, and taxable income on Line 2 was the same as was on line 11b on the 1040.  But today I was getting different numbers.  I found that Line 2 is now taxable income plus the 199A deduction!.  Of course my deduction is different.   I don't think you add the deduction back on line 2, although it  is used on the overall test.  What is going  on?
