I used direct debit for my 1040 payment in 2018 and the IRS did use that bank account to direct deposit the EIP into on Wednesday....but if you paid by check, then IRS does not have your banking info.

Many people are getting that Payment Info Not Available message, Im sure that will change at some point in the next few weeks....its a brand new system they threw together on the fly, the kinks need to be worked out.

The will be sending stimulus money out through the next several months, this isnt a now or never thing.  Its also an advance on a 2020 credit, so if for some bizarre reason you dont see your money this summer, you will get the credit on the 2020 tax return.
