Starting today, when we try to open Form 1041 the software freezes at the "ProSeries is completing calculations" screen. We could access these returns fine yesterday.

I'm guessing you were diligent and ran an update. Unfortunately, that update had a bug that is causing your issue, which others are also experiencing. Intuit knows about it and will fix it "in a future update".

Isn't that amazing. I pay $$$$ for a product that scares me.

As of today, 2/18, Proseries is still freezing on opening Form 1041 on my workstation only. All updates have been ran. On hold waiting for Proseries. Any recommendations ?

I uninstalled the 1041 and then reinstalled it.

How do you uninstall and reinstall just Form 1041? My other forms are working just fine.

You go to the start menu and go to the ProSeries 2019. Click on the down arrow and there will be an uninstall. Choose the 1041 to uninstall. Then after uninstalling the 1041 go back in to the program and go to update and install new products. Click the 1041 and install.

The solution that is working is to uninstall the formset and reinstall. This is from a member of the Systems Support. Me :).

Regarding your solution on the uninstall/reinstall...is this the same set up if you are on a network or would the uninstall need to be done on the server level?
Thanks.

That Uninstall -- Re-install "solution" worked for me -- so far. I had one computer that for some reason did NOT have the uninstall shortcut in the start menu, but I copied it from another computer and that worked.

I am on a network installation and it worked for me. When you do the uninstall it SAYS that this will be uninstalled from all computers, but that is apparently NOT the case. I had to do each system.

I keep bombing trying to open 1041s again, and this has been happening for several days. Does anyone know if this is a known bug again?
