Click View and check that the " Status Bar" is checked

view / refund monitor, when in open return

In Proseries Professional (that you chose as your Product) it appears in the top right corner, not the bottom.

Lisa, it appears in top and bottom on mine Pro

If you want to view it in the lower right corner you have to have the Status Bar selection checked in the view menu. 

If you want to view it in the upper right corner with the red and white color coding you need to check Refund Monitor in the view menu.

I guess I dont know what a status bar is, I only see it on the top.
