Did you try right clicking on display screen and re-sizing to 100% if your resolution is currently set higher than that.

Yep, I'm guessing the display issue...the Continue button is too low on the screen to see, so it doesn't get clicked and the program sits there doing nothing!  Reset your display to Default and see if you have better luck.

"Ctrl alt delete" sounds like a pretty good option to shut it down and try again.
