Illinois Information Worksheet, Part IV.

Check if you do not want to file Illinois Form IL-2210 (see on-line help)

This is causing us problems. If we uncheck, then an error shows up and we can't file electronically. 

If checked, error goes away but we run into problems because then there is no computation of penalty. We were filing returns and clients were getting letters from the state saying they owe more. Hard for us to explain to them.

More clarification. By default, this is checked. Because it is checked no Form IL-2210 is brought in to the return. And because of that no penalties are figured unless the entry person thinks to add the form. The error can be eliminated, the bigger problem is the lack of IL-2210 unless manually added.
