On the 1099-b Worksheet can you use the form 8949 reporting exception transactions and attach a PDF of the 1099b and use the summarize here and use the total proceeds and cost basis for short term and long term even if there are wash sales or do you have to enter the wash sales separately on the quick entry table.

If there are too many sales to enter, I make entries like "Short term sales," Code A or B, and use the totals from the forms. Also enter the total Wash Sales amount, if necessary.
Same for "Long term sales," Code D or E also using Various as purchase date and 12/31/23 as sales date.
I haven't attached PDFs for several years.

I also do like Accountant man except non covered sales I list one by one (usually only one or two). Then list total covered short term, and total covered long term. Have not attached a pdf in years
