TP lived in Illinois until June 2023. Sold home, moved to FL, secured a job, changed driver's license, rented home, and then decided to move back a month later. Was only in FL for a couple months. Can I exclude the FL income from Illinois or will IL see this as a temporary absence?

What makes you think Illinois would give a rodent's posterior about that month's income, when taxpayer was clearly not an Illinois resident?
As they say in Chicago, "just go ahead and take a stab at it."

Lol, I appreciate it. Illinois would tax the rodent's posterior if it could.

I'm old enough to remember Paul Powell's shoeboxes. You probably aren't.
