This is the easiest way to let Intuit know there is a bug.

Form 8606 for SPOUSE is including Inherited IRA distribution on line 7.  It should only pick up non-inherited IRA distribution.    Quick Fix may be to overide.

Taxpayer 8606 is correct.

Last year the same was evident, but was fixed before April.

You're letting other users know, which is great.

Intuit usually doesn't bother to tell its users about bugs.

They may not say much about the bugs, but I believe they do monitor the community posts.

Most companies will be attentive since they don't want negative press.

You're optimistic.

Some Intuit employees come here sometimes.

Rarely does anything get fixed because of it.

I speak from hanging around here for years.

"...Most companies will be attentive since they don't want negative press."

Intuit is not "most companies"; read some of the complaint posts on here & you will see they don't give a rats a** when disgruntled customers voice negative thoughts.

You can try tagging a moderator and *maybe* the defect will get reported to tech.

Susan, many years? LOL.
