Trying to take credit on New Jersey return for taxes paid to Philadelphia.  I had to override the income tax tax fields on the NJ-COJ.  Is there a way to enter info so that it isn't done as an override?  Will I be able to efile the state return if it contains overrides?

You can override the error checking in the ef center but don’t.

You  should not have to override anything! Go back to the NJ Coj. you should be able to enter the Philly tax paid (i think there’s a 2nd column? Not looking at it…).

Also, remember to attach copy of the w2 showing the Philly tax to the NJ return…

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
