I have a new client with no historical data in Lacerte. I need to prepare a 2018 amended return for this client and she has provided me with two files from TurboTax: 1) a .tax2018 and 2) a pdf file. Can I import one of these files into the 2018 Lacerte software to more easily prepare the amended return? If so, how?

You can convert a Turbo Tax file to a Lacerte file by going to Import > Client Data Conversion > Submit Client Data for Conversions. Go through the wizard and choose the applicable inputs so our conversion team can successfully convert the file.
