Informational (IRS says *required*) item on Screen 18/populates on Sch E.
Absolutely necessary for correct computations if the property is a vacation rental (and the reciprocal # of days has to be entered on Screen 18 also).

The number of days rented can be entered in Screen 18, Rental & Royalty Income (Schedule E) using input code 34.
'Enter the number of days the taxpayer rented the property at fair rental value during the tax year. Leave this field blank if the taxpayer did not rent the property. This is a required entry for all rental real estate properties with days rented at fair rental value.'
