I received a similar email recently as well.  I put no merit into it because of the different fonts and font sizes used in the body content and the email address was something like "intuitfrauddept.com" which just didn't seem like a domain that Intuit would have created.  

My EA was also concerned because she found Kevin Smith as a reputable Intuit Fraud specialist online!  These phishing scams are getting better and better by the day.

We get at least 3 or 4 "new client" email inquiries which are scams, offering to send us their prior year tax return and current docs and data unsolicited.  If these scammers put half of the effort into a legit career as they do into these attempts to steal data they would be so successful!
