@bobfaycpa I am unclear on your question. Are the state wages really zero, or they just are incorrectly showing as zero.
Is this a multi-state return?

So you are filing a nonresident return for the state with the withholding? Get the client to have this changed ASAP.

My experience is that this will need to be a paper filed state return.

Even TurboTax won't let you do it https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3157266-it-says-i-cannot-e-file-because-my-state-withholding-was-m...
