@Intuit Austin Would you like to break the bad news to this user?
@skunstlecpa Did you have an unlimited license for 2016 or was it REP?

Did you have an unlimited license for 2016 or was it REP?  I don't think it matters.

What if I have not renewed Lacerte for tax year 2017 by December 31, 2018?

  • You will be able to use your program to prepare and file paper returns for any unlimited modules purchased. The login requirements implemented for Tax Year 2017 enable program access. If you do not renew your program, you will lose access to Fast Path services, including REP access, e-filing capability, live support and program updates.

As George had said, if you did not renew with Lacerte for tax year 2018, you will will be unable to access the prior year software since it was a license.

You may be able to use ProConnect Tax Online to prepare a prior year return at a lower cost as you are able to print free returns out of their software, if a single return is purchased in the current year.
