California has a new AB150 tax law to help owners save on taxes by paying a Pass Through Entity tax., so this is a new feature. If one chooses this option, a new form 3804 is generated. If the shareholder's last name is DO (which happens to also be a programming instruction), the whole name will not appear on form 3804 as well as the state Sch K1. We have called Lacerte, explained the situation and sent the output forms so they can fix the bug. In the mean time, we have to send in the hard copy to FTB.
Does anyone out there have similar issue? THanks

We found a workaround:
CA e-file spec doesn't allow "Do" because it's assumed to be an abbreviation for "Doctor of".
User will need to enter the last name as "Do." with the period in order to get it to print & be included in e-file.
Let us know if this helps!
Edited to include this note: This was reported and passed along in the meantime. Thank you.

We just tried :
1-with "DO.", name still blank on K1 and 3804
2-with "DO/" or "DO\", K1 works but not 3804
Haven't tried with more option since still need to finish other files for today filing
