The EFile Status is retained in the file under the original client number.  If you renumbered and need the Efile histor/status, you would need to re-renumber it back to the original client number.

When you re-renumber it back, the EFile activity report would be blank.  However:

With Lacerte showing the List of all client, 

Cursor on client, Left click to Highlight Client

Hit F4

A window pops up with three Tabs

Client Status 

Client Log

EFile Status

The Right Tab, EFile Status should have the EFile history.
