How do I add a state for an organizer for a new client. I am sending out a 2021 blank organizer. The client lives in Virginia and that state was not previously added.

I would create a return in 2020 for the new client, put as much info in as you have (including "VA" as a state return). Then instead of generating a blank organizer, do a condensed one. Make sure state organizers are not suppressed, but rather forced. Keep in mind that there may not be much/anything VA-state specific in the organizer.

Just tried it myself. Confirmed that there appears to be no Virginia-specific organizer page. They must not have enough/any client-facing fed-state diffs to ask the client about, maybe?

Thank you for your suggestion. I reinstalled the 2020 program and was able to add Virginia as a state.
