Why doesn't the mouse roller thingy work on an input screen? It is maddening!!!

oh yeah, i used to have that issue a few years back. I bought a new mouse, I changed batteries and yet I could not get that **bleep** mouse to scroll with the wheel........
If I remember correctly, I closed the client I was on and re-opened or I shut program down and re-opened until the next time my mouse went to sleep.

But Garman, that was ProSeries and this is Lacerte. I'm guessing you have to hit a -1 someplace in that process to get it to work 😏

My mouse wheels around just fine in Lacerte.

I am having the same issue - wheel doesn't roll in input screens in 2020 Lacerte. Please help!!
I've removed/reinstalled/restarted/etc. Only have issues with Lacerte 2020.

My best guess is the windows did an update and put out some mouse poison. Try doing an update on your driver for you Mouse. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-drivers-in-windows-10-ec62f46c-ff14-c91d-eead-d71...

Thank, but that is not the problem. This is for an older version of Lacerte, but it works. Apparently this has been plaguing Lacerte for years....

it worked for me. It is for an older version, but it seems to fix the problem. Good luck!
