It has become an even more common as of late though been ongoing. We have contacted support in the past without assistance. Have had to file a lot by paper and have a stack waiting for an answer since last Tuesday (7-7) when spent nearly 3 hours on the phone with support and have not got back to us yet. Not sure why it is so difficult to get a fix. A response would be nice, a fix better.

If you override the diagnostic you can e-file and the returns get accepted. It is a Lacerte issue, not a Nebraska one.

E-file staff was not able to override critical diagnostic. If familiar with this diagnostic (54158) and directions to override,, would appreciate detailed process. Thank you!

Same issue. I've had all the overridden returns accepted, but it is a nuisance!

How do you override the Nebraska critical diagnostic #54158

About a week and a half ago after a long hold someone was able to give us a way to override the diagnostic. In your client listing - highlight the client with the diagnostic. Go to the E-file tab and from there select e-file support tools. Then choose disable e-file error and click okay. When you then run the e-file wizard the state diagnostic will show Successful Error Bypass.
