Program becomes unresponsive

Lacerte 2017: I am trying to set up a new client but program becomes unresponsive immediately after I create the Client No. and any time I try and open the newly created client after that. I am on update version 38.1112.

You may be short an update - Federal is 38.1128 Since you are having a problem, I suggest you do a FORCE install. This will not affect your data, but it will overwrite all the program files, correcting many things and get you totally up to date. You should shut your computer down afterward and then do a restart.
