INTUIT PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
Access to Intuit Practice Management powered by Karbon (Service) is only available in the United States. Licenses can be subscribed at Team, Business, and Enterprise levels depending upon the number of members at your firm/business or desired functionality.
The Service requires an upfront monthly subscription on a per-user license basis. Each license will be assigned to a user’s unique email address. Your account will be automatically charged on a monthly basis, until you cancel. Following the expiration of a special offer, discount, or promotion, your account will be charged at the then-current fee for the Service. Sales tax may be applied where applicable. During your subscription, you can choose to upgrade from one tier to another (e.g., Team to Business); however, you cannot move down a tier (e.g. Enterprise to Business) or mix or combine tiers with your Service. Additional terms, conditions, and fees apply for all Intuit QuickBooks and tax preparation software and services, including but not limited to Intuit Lacerte, Intuit ProSeries, and Intuit ProConnect Tax.
Intuit will authorize your card to ensure prompt order processing, resulting in a temporary hold on your Service account. If payment fails during your subscription period, we will attempt to contact you and retry your payment. If the payment retry is not successful, your subscription will terminate on the 15th day. Upon termination after payment failure, you will not have access to the Service.
When you cancel, all future monthly subscription charges will be discontinued. You may cancel at any time. Your cancellation will become effective at the end of the current billing date. You will not receive a prorated refund; your access to the Service will continue for the remainder of the current billing date. If you need to modify the number of user licenses, update account information, ask general billing questions, or cancel your subscription, you can do so by calling 844-818-5401 during service hours.
Data stored in Intuit Practice Management will be held for 14 days following the notice of cancellation of service. If you would like to extract your data, please contact our customer success team within 48 hours after cancelling to start the process. Your data will not be retrievable after 14 days.
Service connection requires a persistent Internet connection (high-speed recommended) and computer with a supported Internet browser or mobile device with connection via Wi-Fi or FTE and a supported operating system (see system requirements). Network fees may apply.
HOSTING FOR INTUIT LACERTE
Hosting for Intuit Lacerte is a monthly subscription. Additional fees apply for the annual Lacerte tax software products and add-on services. If you purchase Hosting for Intuit Lacerte user licenses, you may not purchase more than the number of Lacerte Fast Path licenses on your account. Each month, your account will be automatically charged the agreed-upon price unless and until you cancel. Cancel your subscription at any time by calling Lacerte Customer Service at 1-800-933-9999 during service hours, prior to your monthly renewal date. When you cancel your subscription, your access to the Hosting service will continue through the current billing cycle, and will terminate on the next billing date. Upon termination, you will have access for 15 days to retrieve your data from the hosted environment. If payment fails during your subscription period, we will attempt to contact you and retry your payment. If the payment retry is not successful, your subscription will terminate on the 15th day. Upon termination after payment failure, you will have access for an additional 15 days to retrieve your data from the hosted environment. If you need to add a seat or change account information, you can do so at any time by calling Lacerte Customer Service at 1-800-933-9999, during service hours.
Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook integration with Lacerte in the hosted environment requires an Office 365 license. If you already have an Office 365 license, you can bring over on your own, or purchase a separate license through Right Networks or another provider. Right Networks may also offer additional third party services, not core to Intuit Lacerte, for an additional fee. EasyAcct and signature pads are not supported in the Lacerte hosted environment at this time.
Hosting for Intuit Lacerte is powered by Right Networks. Contact Right Networks to contract additional third-party software. Right Networks performs backups of all Hosted data on a nightly basis and retains the back-ups for a rolling 90-day period in a protected offsite facility as an additional level of protection. There is no limitation to the size of a customer's back-up. Customers are responsible for verifying the integrity of the hosted data at least every 90 days. Right Networks uses top-tier data centers and multiple layers of redundancy within its infrastructure to provide 24x7 availability. However, availability can vary, is subject to occasional downtime and may change without notice. Right Networks encrypts all backup files and backup tapes. Virtual desktop connections are protected via TLS with a minimum of 128 bit encryption and authentication. Each customer has a unique Right Networks virtual desktop. Access to each Intuit Lacerte company file is controlled at multiple layers including file access permissions. Access is locked out after multiple failed login attempts for the same user. Security features, functionality and access are subject to change without notice as deemed necessary by Right Networks.
