Easy Start Checklist

 

1. Get set up for success.
Once you’re signed in to ProConnect Tax Online, access the gear symbol at the top right of your software for quick setup tools, including your Preparer Information and Firm Information profiles.

2. Provide your EFIN to be ready to e-file.
To help protect you and your clients from fraudulent activity, the IRS requires Intuit to verify your EFIN (electronic filing identification number) before you’re able to e-file through our system. Simply follow our step-by-step guide to either apply for a new EFIN or verify your existing EFIN.
 

Be sure to complete this step as soon as possible to avoid delays, as processing may take up to 45 days.

3. Convert data.
