Lacerte doesn't have an input field to indicate a second extension was filed, so be sure to follow the instructions below to make any necessary changes when filing the return.

  1. Go to the input screen for Invoice, Letter, Filing Instructions.
  2. Scroll to the section Client Letter.
  3. Enter the revised due date of return.

Follow these steps to manually force the tax based on COGS (which Lacerte will not automatically select after the first extended due date):

  2. Scroll to the section Deductions and Tax Adjustments.
